Service Learning

Supporting our Communities

An integral part of the Dutchess Day School mission is to encourage and foster a spirit of giving, in meaningful and developmentally appropriate ways.

Students learn to appreciate the importance of helping others and gain a sense of responsibility for both their local and global communities. Compassion and respect for others are developed through the many hands-on projects that students and faculty do throughout the year. Involvement in these projects also helps students gain awareness of the vast array of community organizations and the range of needs that exist.
