The Courtyard started in the very early years of Dutchess Day School as a tiny newsletter mimeographed by someone in the school’s office and delivered by hand. Over the years, The Courtyard has become a magazine in its own right. It enlightens its readers with articles about the academic, arts, and athletic programs at Dutchess Day, news about our faculty and their endeavors, the alumni notes, a message from our head of school, often a feature article about, or by, an alum, and one written by a faculty member. Photos, fun facts, and the newsy up-to-date “Tunnel Talk” make the magazine fun and attractive.
