DDS Science Fair
Tuesday, February 23.
Students in grades 4, 5, 7, and 8 are encouraged to do a project. It is mandatory for 6th grade students as part of their science curriculum. All students will choose a topic, research it, conduct an experiment, gather data, and create a display of their results. The day of the fair there will be outside judges who listen to the students present their projects. In the afternoon, the rest of the student body will visit the fair and see what the participants created. After school the fair will be open to parents and community members. Students with top projects will have the opportunity to advance to the regional science fair held at Dutchess Community College. This is an excellent opportunity for students to practice research, time management, problem solving, public speaking, and so many other valuable skills as well as giving back to the community.
If you have any questions or need a form to register, please contact Darlene Yager (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you!
