Admissions
Dutchess Day School is an elementary school which values children’s natural
curiosity and fosters an enduring enthusiasm for learning. In an atmosphere of trust
and mutual respect, students are encouraged to take intellectual risks and to develop
independence, confidence, and imagination.
A talented and dedicated faculty maintains high academic standards within a
balanced curriculum which challenges students to discover their unique strengths.

members of the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS), the National Association of
Independent Schools (NAIS), the Educational Records Bureau (ERB), and Educational Testing Services
(ETS).

Admissions
Directions From the Taconic State Parkway take Route 44 east at the Millbrook exit. Head east on Route 44 for about 3 miles until you come to a light. Go straight through the light onto Route 343 (Towards Dover Plains). You will go approximately 2 miles total, past a monument in the middle of the road, up a large hill, and past a golf and tennis club. The school will be on your left. The entrance is just past the school.
